July 18th 2024

Time flies and the Kian x Aoife Litter is one year old today!  Miss Red - now Aili - stayed with me and is growing like a weed.  The four boys - now Chester, Chub, Walker,  and Winchester - went to loving families and are thriving.  They are sweet, affectionate, gentle and love everyone they meet.  They enjoy playing with their dog and human siblings, following their person around, swimming and playing fetch.  Here's to a fabulous 1st year!

September 12th

And just like that the puppies are 8 weeks old today.  I can hardly believe it.  It seems like just last week they were tiny little pups whose eyes were closed and slept all day.  Now they are curious, active, sweet, big puppies ready for their forever homes.  Look how far they've come!

September 5th

Wow.  Seven weeks old today!  They have gotten so bug.  They love running, playing, and exploring.

August 29th

It's week six already.  Where does the time fly?  The puppies have been busy this week.  Their confidence has exploded and they love to explore, and taste, everything.  From every corner of the house (and under every piece of furniture) to all things nature outside.  They have two modes: on and fast asleep.  Poor Mr. Lamb definitely took some abuse trying to get photo today.

A highlight this week was a trip to a friend's to visit her critters.  They got to meet a non-Chessies, ducks, and horses.  They especially liked the ducks and found them great fun to play with.

August 22nd

Puppies are 5 weeks old today.  They all love their solid food and weigh between 8.5 and 10 pounds.  We had great weather this weekend and puppies had many adventures outside.  They were introduced to the tunnel, teeter, pool and wobble disks.  They also had a blast tasting all of the various leaves.  This week they have mastered running, pouncing, and wrestling.

August 15th

4 weeks old!  It has been an adventurous week.  The puppies have moved full time to the play pen and are doing a pretty good job using the potty box.  They are becoming very coordinated and fast!  They are playing with eachother and their toys more and more everyday.  Their latest discovery is that they can pick up and carry their toys.  They have also stared on solid food.  It's mush for now, but they think it is delicious.  

August 8th

The puppies are 3 weeks old today.   They have accomplished a lot in the last week.  They are interacting with the world around them -  watching, listings, tasting and smelling.  They had their first trips outside, met Grandpa Kjell, entertained some visitors (before falling asleep in their laps),  and explored their new play pen.  They have started to play with each other, although there is still plenty of tripping over their own feet.

August 1st

The puppies are 2 weeks old today.  Everyone is growing like weeds.  Their eyes are open, they are toddling around the whelping box with ease, and have started interacting with stuffed toys.  The long armed fox is a particular favorite.  They have also started making all sorts of sounds and get very indignant when  someone is parked on the under-pig-rail expressway.  

July 25th

Puppies are 1 week old today.  Everyone has doubled their birth weight.  They are cruising around their whelping box and conquering towel hills with ease.  

July 20th

Puppies were born on 7/18/23.  There are 4 boys and 1 girl in the litter.  Aoife is an excellent mommy and the pups are eating, sleeping and growing!
